Bathore, Tirana – 23 October 2015 – Global Care Albania (GCA), a non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding and enhancing the lives of children at risk, marked its 15th anniversary in the Bathore community. Bathore, a densely populated and socially challenging area on the outskirts of Albania’s capital, Tirana, has been the focal point of GCA’s mission since its inception in 1999.
GCA has been a driving force for change both at the community level and in advocating for public policy improvements. Their unwavering commitment to this marginalized area is evident through an array of programs aimed at serving the local community. These include Day Care & Education, Disabled Kids School Club, Therapeutic Services, Women Empowerment, Youth Training & Mentoring, Summer Camps, Education for Roma Minorities, and Public Advocacy.
The 15th-anniversary celebration brought together approximately 80 individuals, including friends and partners who have supported GCA’s noble cause throughout the years. Among the attendees were esteemed figures such as John White, Paul de Lange, Peter, Derek, Susan, and many others.
Evis Stafa, GCA’s Country Director, expressed immense pride in the organization’s accomplishments over the past 15 years. She emphasized that GCA remains steadfast in its mission, unwavering in its dedication to ensuring that no more children and women are neglected in this deprived area on the outskirts of Tirana.
As GCA continues its tireless efforts to protect and uplift vulnerable children in Bathore, this milestone serves as a reminder of the positive impact that dedicated organizations can have in transforming communities and fostering hope for a brighter future.
