September 2023 – Bathore witnessed a summer to remember as Global Care Albania (GCA) wrapped up its summer camps, leaving behind memories of laughter, growth, and newfound friendships. Over the course of five exciting weeks, 160 children from the community came together to take part in a whirlwind of activities.
These summer camps weren’t just about games and crafts; they were about nurturing young minds and hearts. From games and challenges to crafting, music, dramas, and meaningful discussions, the summer camps offered an enriching experience for Bathore’s youth.
For many of these children, GCA’s “New Day” Center is more than just a place for therapy and learning—it’s their haven of entertainment and recreation. Recognizing the pivotal role they play in these young lives, GCA aimed to provide an unforgettable summer full of positive influences.
The hope is that these summer days will serve as lasting milestones in the personal development of these children. It’s about creating memories that will shape their futures in a meaningful way.
The summer kicked off with a focus on the teen summer camp, where 30 young individuals took center stage. They immersed themselves in play, dance, showcased their talents, formed lasting friendships, and engaged in profound discussions about their identities.
GCA extends special gratitude to Andrea and Mario, two dedicated volunteers and friends, who generously contributed their time and energy to ensure that the teen summer camp was an unforgettable experience for the youths.
As the summer camps came to a close, the spirit of unity, growth, and joy prevailed. GCA continues to make a positive impact on the lives of Bathore’s children, offering them not only entertainment but also opportunities to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
We look forward to next year’s Summer Camps and to new kids joining our activities and personal growth sessions.
